Commission a Friendship Portrait

Two people, painted the way the Friendship collection is painted.

That collection began with a question: what does a bond look like if you paint it instead of photographing it. Camino and Tino. Carlos and Marcos. Selena and Helena. Harumi and Migumi. Each one is two people and the thing holding them together, built from ink, colour and pattern rather than likeness.

Now you can ask for yours. Two friends. A couple. Two brothers. Two sisters. A mother and a daughter. Tell me who they are and what they are like to be around, because that matters more to the painting than how closely it resembles them.

How a commission works

  1. Choose your size and place your order.
  2. I will email you to collect photographs of the two of them and a few words about who they are, and we will settle the details before I begin.
  3. I paint it by hand in my own style, in mixed media on paper. This takes two to four weeks.
  4. It is signed, documented and shipped anywhere in the world. If it is a gift, I can send it straight to the person it is for.
