About Sir Elixir

"His true passion was alchemy. He spent his days experimenting with different ingredients and concoctions, always searching for the perfect elixir to grant immortality and invincibility to those who consumed it."

Sir Elixir was on a quest to find the rarest of ingredients, he stumbled upon an ancient tome hidden deep in a cave. The book was filled with ancient alchemical formulas, and Sir Elixir realised that this was the key to creating his elixir.

He returned to his laboratory and worked tirelessly, mixing and experimenting with the formulas from the tome. After many long months, he finally succeeded in creating the ultimate elixir.

Sir Elixir knew that the elixir was too powerful to be used by just anyone, so he decided to test it on himself. He drank the potion, and immediately felt his body transform. He was stronger, faster, and more agile than ever before. He knew that this elixir would change the course of history and make him the most powerful knight in the kingdom.

The people in this collection were painted for what they refused to accept. Some of them lived: a physician who tried to gather the whole of medicine into one book, a queen who would not take the seat she was offered. Others came from the artist's head: a machine that taught itself to build, a historian who travels through time, a detective, a gunslinger, a queen of the green world. She does not paint them the way history paints them. She takes what each one is known for, then asks what it looked like from the inside.

The message underneath every face is the same. There is more in you than you have been asked for. Each of them is given the ornament, the pattern and the colour usually saved for royalty, because the quality she is painting is not rare, it is only unused in most people. She hopes they are hung where they will be seen daily, and that they keep making the same quiet suggestion.
